Photo ID, the fee sheet, and what to say when a card is lost. Do not read your PIN aloud.
Ask which account you are opening and which photo identification they need. Read the fee before you agree. The opening episode walks through that counter conversation. Approval and timing are up to the bank that day.
If your address does not match the lease, say so. Do not sign a form you have not read.
If the debit card is gone, say please freeze it. If the teller tells you not to share the PIN, stop. A replacement goes to the address on the account, so check that the address is current.
The lost-card episode is set in Canada and the freeze episode is a phone call. The sentence is the same idea. Neither one promises a delivery date.
