Answer part 1 with one full sentence and one detail. Practice does not predict a band score.
Part 1 questions are short. Say where you grew up in a full sentence, add one reason you like it, and stop. The hometown episode has the cue: use a full sentence, then add one detail.
A memorised paragraph is harder to finish when the follow-up changes. Notes of three words are enough when you reach a cue card.
A practice partner cannot award a band. Only the official test does. These episodes say that out loud so the habit does not sneak into the script.
Part 3 is a separate episode if you want longer answers. It is still practice.
